Service Description

deliver.media managedradio. is a set of online services in a combined Managed Service. managedradio. comprises different services combined in a package (e.g. managedradio. Standard). The main groups of managedradio. consist of a software (on-premise) platform. 

Components

Each managedradio. Package consists of the following modules and services:

On-Premise Synch-Client ("deliver.media engine.")

Connects the customer-side scheduling system, media files, artwork, and metadata with the on-cloud platform of managedradio. The engine. synch-client application retrieves the playlist (schedules) from the legacy system, accesses the media files, and uploads for the playout.

Headless Playout ("R1 Playout")

Playing out the rundown lists provided by the customer, cross-fading audio elements together according to their link-out/EOM information, and generating the output signal stream.

Sound Processing ("R1 Sound processing")

Standard: Sound processing optimizes the sound. It comes with 4 available presets, where Medium is the standard.

Streaming Service ("R1 Upstreaming")

managedradio.'s headless playout provides direct up-streaming. The standard upstreaming format is MP3 in 192 Mbit/s for Icecast servers. A username and password for upstreaming have to be provided by the customer's streaming provider.

Other optional (subject to additional fees) supported formats for upstreaming are:

• AAC
• FLAC

Additional mounting points can be activated (subject to additional fees).

Live Insert (option)

Integration of live streams (Icecast), based on/off insert or scheduled on an hourly or daily basis.

SRF News Live Insert (option)

Integration of live streams (Icecast), based hourly schedule. Subject to contract with SRF (Switzerland).

Metadata-Service Endpoint/API "playingnow." (Option)

playingnow. services provide a REST and GraphQL API to access currently playing information on managedradio. channels. Metadata includes start time, duration, artist and title, and artwork URLs if available.

Managed Monitoring

Managed monitoring is an included service where the radio station is monitored at the SMP operation center to prevent possible interruptions. Currently, the monitoring is not available to the customer.

Compliance Recording "aircheck." (Option)

Some countries require a compliance recording of a radio station. Compliance recording is not a standard feature. It can be added as an option to managedradio. Different plans are available on request.

deliver.media library

Audio files, cover images and metadata are stored in deliver.media library. Included is 50 GB of storage and a maximum of 10'000 assets (audio file, cover images count as one asset each). Additional assets and storage are available as an option.

Service-Level Agreement (SLA)

There are three SLAs available on different levels. The SLA standard is included in any paid plan.
