This document describes how to configure deliver.media engine. for autostart.
There are two ways to achieve that enabled workflows do autostart when launching the deliver.media engine instance
a.) with a command switch /start
b.) in the configuration
Prerequisites:
- Access to the server on which the engine. is running.
- Administrator privileges.
- An option to autostart the deliver.engine application (e.g. Autostart Folder or Task manager). A possible example is described below:
Examples of activating autostart for the engine. application (after a reboot, the engine will start automatically).
Option 1:
Open the autostart folder by pressing Windows + R, “shell:startup” and Enter.
Insert here all program shortcuts you want to start automatically with Windows 8.
Deletes the corresponding shortcuts if you would rather not run these programs at startup.
Autostart programs that you cannot find in the Autostart folder above are listed in the system configuration "msconfig":
Press Ctrl + Shift + Escape to open the Task Manager.
In the tab Autostart you can see all Autostart programs.
Remove the checkmark in front of the entries you want to deactivate.
Option 2:
Go to %appdata%
> Roaming > Microsoft > Windows > Startmenü > Programme > Autostart
Copy a shortcut of the deliver.media engine. in the "Autostart" folder --> save
Make sure you test the start of the engine. by rebooting the pc/server. If Autologon is not working, the application will not be started.
Option A — Start the engine workflows with a command switch.
This option needs no configuration. You simply start the engine with the /start command switch.
C:\deliver.media\Instance1\engine.exe /start
Option B - Start the engine workflows preconfigured
Change the engine.config
accordingly:
